The Act of April 22, 1864 which changed the weight and composition of the one-cent coin, included a provision for the bronze 2� piece to be made of the same alloy composition as the penny. For the first time, the motto �In God We Trust� appeared on the new coin which is found above a shield on the reverse. The obverse has a �2" inside a wreath with �United States of America� around the outside circumference. The condition is worn, but good.
