D317a - Game of Pick Up Sticks

57.50
Also known as "Jack Straws," this was a popular children's game during the period. The game consists of several items carved from pine each @ 3_" long. They include a shovel, pike, pitch fork etc. and each retains its original number 3, 8, 19 etc. The child would take his/her turn picking up the scattered sticks, and the one who returned the most sticks with the highest numbers within a given time frame won the game. Seven game pieces are attractively displayed in a 5_" x 4_" Riker case. This will make a most unusual addition to a children's or homefront display. See Lord V 76.
