This is the pattern of July 1864 box, with dimensions of 7.2" x 1.7" x 5.1" with the US embossed front flap. It was made for the .58 caliber elongated Minie ball. There is a manufacturer's stamp on the back, but it is very faint. The tins are correct and intact. The interior and back leather is decent, but the front is extremely flaked as you can see in the picture. The finial is good, but the latch tab and bottom buckles are gone. I took this box in trade some years ago and will let it go for less than what I have in it which should give someone who likes dug, relic and definitely used items a chance at a nearly complete cartridge box.
